New Zoning Ordinance

The Borough of State College, with support from national urban planning and land use consulting firm Clarion Associates, is developing a New Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance to better implement the Borough’s planning policies and priorities. As of March 5, 2026, Borough Planning Commission (see: Planning Commission Review) and Borough Council have both concluded their reviews of the initial draft ordinance. This draft is now undergoing revisions in anticipation of a revised draft being made available for public review by early summer 2026. Please continue to check back here regularly for updated during the process.
