24-0249: A bill for an ordinance concerning the approval of a proposed Facilities Lease No. 2024A (101 West Colfax Facilities) between Denver Public Facilities Leasing Trust 2024A (101 West Colfax Avenue), as lessee, and the City and County of Denver, as lessor, and a proposed Lease Purchase Agreement No. 2024A (101 West Colfax Facilities) between Denver Public Facilities Leasing Trust 2024A (101 West Colfax Avenue), as lessor, and the City and County of Denver, as lessee, in conjunction with the issuance of Certificates of Participation, Series 2024A and documents related thereto authorizing officials of the City and County of Denver to take all actions necessary to carry out the transactions contemplated hereby; ratifying actions previously taken; providing other matters relating thereto; and providing the effective date thereof. Authorizes the Manager of Finance, on behalf of the city, to execute and deliver City and County of Denver Series 2024A Certificates of Participation in a par amount not to exceed $90 million for the purpose of acquiring an office building at 101 W. Colfax Avenue (“the Denver Post Building”) and associated costs of issuance, in Council District 10. The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 4-1-2024.
