HomeDepartmentsFinance Office Finance Office The Bristol Township Finance Department manages the Township’s financial operations, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient use of resources. We handle everything from budgeting and tax collection to payroll and financial reporting, supporting informed decision-making for the Township and its residents. Our Responsibilities Budget Preparation & Management – Develop and monitor the Township’s annual budget, balancing revenue and expenditures. Billing & Collections – Issue and collect payments for services such as real estate taxes, sewer services, and refuse collection. Accounts Payable & Receivable – Manage payments to vendors and track incoming payments from residents and businesses. Financial Reporting – Record, reconcile, and report financial information for decision-makers and monitoring agencies. Payroll Management – Ensure accurate and timely payment of employees. Internal Controls – Maintain proper controls to safeguard Township funds and ensure compliance with financial policies. Sewer & Refuse Operations – Invoice accounts, process payments, and serve as a liaison between the Township and contracted service providers. Our Team The Finance Department is staffed by six full-time employees and one part-time employee, each with defined roles to ensure smooth operations. Finance Officer – Oversees department operations, prepares the budget, reconciles accounts, monitors financial controls, and generates reports for decision-makers and state agencies. Senior Staff Accountant – Manages accounts receivable, prepares the asset side of financial statements, oversees payroll, and manages escrow accounts. Accounts Payable Specialist – Handles accounts payable and prepares the liability side of financial statements. Tax Collector – Bills, records, and collects real estate taxes, issues tax certifications, and answers tax-related questions. Clerk and Recycling Coordinator – Performs general office duties and serves as a liaison between the Township and Waste Management to assist residents with service issues. Receptionist – Greets and directs visitors, receives payments, and performs general office duties.
