Township of Bloomington Monday February 3rd, 2025 Regular Monthly Board Meeting Minutes The regular Monthly Board Meeting of the Town of Bloomington was called to order on Monday February 3rd, 2025, at 7:00 pm by Chairman Bill Erdenberger. Roll call was taken, other members present were Supervisor I Mike Patterson, Supervisor II Joe Kirschbaum, Patrolman Andrew “Buck” Crubel, Clerk Jane Patterson, Treasurer Brenda Kluesner and public member Michelle Newhouse. Motion (Bill Erdenberger) seconded (Mike Patterson) was made to approve the posting of the Feb. 3rd meeting and Agenda, motion carried. Motion (Mike Patterson) seconded (Joe Kirschbaum) was made to approve the January 6th regular board meeting minutes and the January 27th special board meeting minutes, motion carried. There were no public comments. Roads and Machinery Reports: Roads are in good winter driving condition. Patrolman Buck reported the roads needing seal coat this summer: Cottonwood, Texas, Utah and Ohio Roads. Clerk Jane Patterson will notice the ad in the GCHI paper right away so bids will be received by the March Meeting. Buck was able to fix the old chains so he didn’t have to order new ones. The Town’s equipment is in good condition. The Hwy shed’s attic has been insulated, and John Klein of JFK Construction presented an invoice for repair materials. Motion (Bill Erdenberger) seconded (Joe Kirschbaum) was made to finance the materials from the general cash fund, on a voice roll call, yes-3, no-0, motion carried. Financial Report: Treasurer Brenda Kluesner presented the January 2025 financial report. The report was approved unanimously by the Board. Clerk Jane Patterson reported the outstanding bills, Board members approved payment of the bills presented. Clerk Jane Patterson stated that there will be a Primary Election on February 18th, 2025, and the BOR training will be on March 18th by virtual webinar. Supervisor Mike Patterson will watch the training. Supervisor Mike Patterson informed the other board members of his conversation with Rural Mutual Ins Rep Jon Ragatz. Our insurance premium will be paid quarterly. There hasn’t been any information reported back to Treasurer Brenda Kluesner regarding other insurance premiums. Items to be discussed at next month’s meeting: the buoy permit/map, Steve Schaefer helping Patrolman Buck when needed, look over seal coat bids, helping Village of Bloomington run well.
