The Community Policy We Care program is designed to provide added personal security to the elderly, disabled or ill, who live alone. The Pocono Township Police Department will maintain a list of the individuals, emergency numbers, contact persons, key holders and other information. Each day between 9:00AM and 11:00AM the participating person is to call the Police Department and check-in so that the Police know everything is fine and they are well. If no call is received by 11:00AM, the Police will call them. If no response is obtained, an officer will be dispatched to the residence to check on their well-being. The lobby of the Police Department is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in which accepted medications can be dropped off with no questions asked. We do ask that medications are placed in a zip top type bag. A Police Officer will respond and evaluate the situation. If the vehicle can be classified as abandoned, the vehicle will be removed. What are The Directions to Pocono Township Police Department? Where do I get information for non-criminal Finger Printing? The Monroe County Central Booking Center, located at the Correctional Facility in Snydersville, provides employment and applicant fingerprinting to the general public. Generally, the Central Booking Center provides this service during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. However, they will attempt to accommodate individuals that need fingerprinting services outside of these hours on a case-by-case basis. The cost for this service is $25 payable by check or money order to the “County of Monroe”. You must present a photo identification when fingerprinted. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Monroe County Central Booking Center at (570) 992-6643. How do I make a Police Report? There are several ways that you can make an official police report: In an Emergency or Hazardous situation, Dial 911. A police officer will be dispatched to the location you specify.
