This decision, which applies to all boards and commissions, was made by the City’s executive team to align with the in-person participation rules currently in place for City Council meetings. We made this decision following several incidents of inappropriate images and videos being displayed by unauthorized individuals at board and commission meetings. Additionally, beginning October 1, 2025, all board and commission members serving on development and land use-related bodies will be required to attend meetings in person. This adjustment aims to improve meeting efficiency by eliminating technical issues that can arise with virtual connections. Development staff are beginning to inform their board members of this change and I’ve offered to visit with any board members that may be concerned with this change. Can I still watch Board and Commission Meetings? The Board and Commission meetings may be found on the FWTV page. If you can't find your Board or Commission, then look under "other public meetings" as the recording may be there. If you need additional help, please contact the City staff member listed on the appropriate agenda.
