Our goal is to be transparent and accessible to the public to ensure the process of searching for historical records is seamless. Several databases may require you to sign up for an account to search for the information you're seeking. Learn more about how to record documents. Open Records Act The Denver Office of the Clerk and Recorder is the custodian of records in our possession. To file a CORA request, fill out the online form. Certified Copies To obtain certified copies of marriage licenses or other recorded documents, use our self-service Online Records Search and follow the prompts to make a certified copy request. Certified copies of documents are $1 per document, plus $0.25 per page. Need Help? Not seeing an image for the record you are looking for in the recording database? Sign Up Today Recording Fee Increase PLEASE NOTE: Beginning July 1, the Office of the Denver Clerk and Recorder will update document recording fees to $43 comply with state laws effective on that date. This includes all county-recorded documents including foreclosures and releases, quit claim deeds, etc. Death records are exempt from filing fees. In advance of the increase, the Office of the Denver Clerk and Recorder will not require appointments to record documents throughout June in advance of the increase. Any document received after June 30 will be subject to the increase and rejected if the proper payment is not received. Contact Us Paul D.
