  • 2023-1819: Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Eight Hundred Sixteen Thousand Dollars ($816,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Electric Blue Bikes Adoption grant, awarded by the United States Department of Transportation, passed through the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization, to be administered by the Policy and Planning Division in the Boston Transportation Department (BTD). The grant will fund the introduction of electric-assist bikes (e-bikes) into the City of Boston’s publicly owned and managed Blue Bike share system. Referred to the Committee on Planning, Development & Transportation. Later in the session, Councilor Baker moved for reconsideration of Docket #1819. Reconsideration prevailed. On the motion of Councilor Baker, the rules were suspended; the order was passed.
