2025 Alley and Sidewalk Improvements July 1, 2025 Project Description The 2025 Alley and Sidewalk Improvements project will take place over the next five months. A summary of the project locations and scope of work is provided below: Project Scope Alley North of Payne St, East of Crawford Ave Storm sewer installation, concrete pavement, and restoration. Alley North of Grant St, East of Hartrey Ave Storm sewer installation, concrete pavement, restoration, and storm sewer extension from the alley east on Colfax St for approximately 360 feet. Alley North of Lincoln St, East of Hartrey Ave Removal of existing storm sewer and pavement, storm sewer installation, concrete pavement, and restoration. Traffic Calming - Speed Humps and Alley Bumps Installation of traffic-calming speed humps and alley speed bumps at various locations throughout the City. Transit Stops Installation of ADA-compliant concrete sidewalks at transit stops on Lake Street from Dodge Avenue to Ridge Avenue and on Ridge Avenue from Dobson Street to Lake Street. A map of each of the project locations is provided as an attachment. Project Schedule The project is anticipated to begin within the next two weeks and be completed by November 21. The exact dates of construction activities scheduled to begin will be noted on the temporary construction zone “No Parking” signs posted a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the work. Parking will be prohibited during daytime work hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM) while construction takes place. Street sweeping parking restrictions will be waived for a one block radius around the construction zone 2 -- 2 of 4 -- when temporary daytime no parking is in effect. Every effort will be made to complete the work in a timely manner to minimize any inconveniences caused by the construction. Contractor The contractor for this project is Alliance Contractors, Inc.
