Memorandum To: Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council From: Luke Stowe, City Manager Subject: Approval of the 2026 City Council and Rules Committee Meeting Schedule Date: December 8, 2025 Recommended Action: Approval of the 2026 City Council and Rules Committee Meeting Schedule. Council Action: For Action Summary: In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, the City Council must give public notice of its regular meeting schedule at the beginning of each calendar year. City Council meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, except in August and December, when only one meeting is scheduled. City Council meetings are scheduled to begin immediately following the conclusion of the Planning & Development Committee meetings. In accordance with City Council rule 9.2, the Planning and Development Committee and the Administration & Public Works Committee shall meet before the regular City Council meetings. The Referrals Committee will meet the same night as the City Council or at the call of the chair. The Rules Committee meetings are held on the first Monday of every other month (or on an as-needed basis) at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Lorraine H. Morton City Hall, 909 Davis St., 2nd Floor, Evanston, IL.
