Meetings & Ordinances “PUBLIC NOTICE” Pursuant to act 84 of 1986: the Schuylkill County Board of Commissioners (BOC) give public notice of their 2026 public meetings. The public may attend these meetings in person in the commissioners’ boardroom. The public may also view the live stream or recorded meetings on the county website or listen to these meetings via zoom, with no video. Zoom call-in information is listed on the agenda, which is posted on the county website: schuylkillcountypa.gov, and then under the “government” tab – then choose, “meetings & ordinances” under Commissioners. The work session meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 10:00 am, except: Thursday 5/21/26, Thursday 8/6/26, & Thursday 11/5/26. The BOC hold their public meetings at 10:00 am on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday each month, except: Thursday-11/12/26. There will be four evening public meetings starting at 6 pm on: 3/11/26, 6/10/26, 9/9/26 & 12/9/26. A Reorganization meeting of the Salary Board will be held Monday, 1/5/26 at 10:00 am. The Salary Board normally follows the regularly scheduled work sessions and public meetings of the BOC each week as stated above. The Retirement Board meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of each month following the regularly scheduled public meeting of the BOC and Salary Board except for 11/12/26, which is the 2nd Thursday of the month. The Prison Board meets monthly in the Commissioners’ boardroom on the 2nd Wednesday at 11:00 am on the following dates: January 14; February 11; April 8; May 13; July 8; August 12; October 14; and Thursday, November 12. Quarterly, the Prison Board meets at 11:00 am in the classroom located in the prison on 3/11/26, 6/10/26, 9/9/26 & 12/9/26. In the event of inclement weather and the courthouse is closed on the day of a commissioners’ work session or public meeting, that meeting will be postponed until 9:00 am on the date of the next scheduled meeting. If a Prison Board meeting is also scheduled that day, the Prison Board meeting will be held the following week at 11:00 am. By: Schuylkill Co.
